Sulfuric Acid Tank Warranty

Sulfuric Acid Tanks: Limited 1-Year Warranty

Tanks used for sulfuric acid storage carry a limited one-year warranty from the date of manufacture. Sulfuric acid is one of a few demanding applications, along with biodiesel, bleach and caustic soda, that carry a one-year warranty instead of our standard three-year tank warranty. All other terms below apply.

Standard Terms

Outside these one-year applications, our tanks carry a limited three-year warranty from the date of manufacture. If a defect in workmanship or material appears under normal use, service and maintenance within the warranty period, Bailiff Enterprises, Inc. will, at its option, supply a new equivalent tank, repair the original tank, or refund a prorated portion of the purchase price. Liability is limited to the tank itself and excludes installation or removal costs and consequential damages.

What Voids the Tank Warranty

• Operating beyond the tank’s temperature limits.
• Operating at anything other than atmospheric pressure.
• Storing material that is chemically unsuitable for the tank. See the sulfuric acid compatibility chart.

Fittings: 1-Year Warranty

Fittings we install carry a one-year warranty from the date of installation. If a defect appears under normal use within that period, Bailiff will, at its option, repair the fitting or refund a prorated portion of its price. Liability is limited to the fitting and excludes consequential damages.

What Voids the Fitting Warranty

• Storing material that is chemically unsuitable for the gasket or fitting.
• Letting the weight of pipes or plumbing rest on an installed fitting.
• Improper installation. Flexible connections that let the tank expand and contract are required. See the installation guide.

Optional Equipment

Valves, heat tracing, ultrasonic level sensors and other optional items carry only their manufacturer’s warranty. Bailiff offers no warranty beyond it and is not responsible for consequential damages.
