Top Fill Lines are
a beneficial option for Sulfuric Acid
storage tanks. Top fill lines allow tanker trucks to
connect with quick connect 'cam-lock' fittings. Technicians can work at
a comfortable and safe height. An optional inner pipe
lets the solution enter the tank below the surface of the liquid
already stored. A true benefit of a top fill line is that the tank can be filled without having fittings that require holes the sidewall of the tank. With hazardous chemicals like Sulfuric Acid, this brings an additional layer of safety. Top Fill Lines are equipped a Ball Valve to open and close the flow and also a Ball Check Valve to keep liquid from flowing back away from the tank. |
| For Sulfuric Acid in concentrations of less than 75%, PVC can be used for the top fill line and valves. Viton seals and gaskets should be used. | |
